This is my first ever cookbook dedicated to Cast Iron Cooking, written to pair perfectly with my Zakarian Non-Stick Cast Iron Dutch Oven. This pan delivers a great punch, just like traditional cast iron, but even with the most delicate or stickiest ingredients, the clean up is a cinch, I promise.

Here within, you will find my favorite recipes for Dutch oven cooking, utilizing both the base as a traditional Dutch oven and the lid as a skillet pan. Wanting to give you recipes that deliver maximum flavor, I did not hold back. Here, you have access to great cooking techniques and some of my secrets that will deliver big time when the food hits the table.

A few tips to help you through the book:

• Read the recipe through before starting. Planning time appropriately is the most important step.

• Use wooden, plastic or silicone coated tools to preserve and avoid scratches in the coating.

• Order or search about ingredients online if you do not have or they are unfamiliar.

• When a recipe calls for wine, always choose one that you would also be willing to drink.

Thinking back to my youth, I have wonderful memories learning to cook with my aunts and mother in their heritage cast iron. Today, I think of these special women daily and am so proud to use these revolutionary pans with "Zakarian" on them, representing all that they had taught me along the way. How they would have loved and appreciated the ease of these workhorse pans!
